  This place is currently known as G-Club; however, its signage is still "Villa Mansland". The owner claimed there were numerous renovations done to enhance the place, but let me put that claim to shame. If what I saw was post renovation, I'd recommend you not bother. When I got there it was a ghost town. The front desk was manned (pun intended) by a woman who didn't speak any English. I paid for 4 nights in their nicest room and it had dead insects on the ground and hadn't been adequately cleaned. The cup that you would usually see in a bathroom had been placed haphazardly on a tissue (yes a kleenex) next to a tube of unlabeled goo. Interestingly, the cup was placed on a tissue RIGHT NEXT to the doily that was clearly meant for it. Upon closer inspection, I could see the cup wasn't even clean. *BARF* I actually ended up sleeping in my room that day (22-hours of flight will let you do anything-- note I didn't say first night -- first day), but then I immediately booked a new hotel in Old Town (for not much more). When I went to ask the front desk staff for a partial-refund (eg. 2 of the days), she couldn't cite a refund policy or point me towards anything documented anywhere. So despite me not even staying for a single day, they decided to try and KEEP my money for four whole days. This was after she consulted the manager/owner of the hotel on how to proceed. Sounds like a bit of mismanagement. I'd HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place at all costs. There are many beautiful hotels and hostiles in and around old/new-town that are much more inviting. Save your money and go to one of those.

  This stay was one big disillusion. With the exception of the owner, which prefers to spend his time out, nobody in the hotel team really speaks english, so you may get better advices from some of the boys that are sitting all day in the lobby/bar. Through and through the whole stay I just felt unwillingness to help and answer, especially when asking about promoted events that never happened. The only possitive thing is a free wifi in the whole house , but this house is old and quite devastated and definitely needs a complete renovation to fit in todays standarts for at least two stars hotels. Or even better would be to look somewhere else.

  Dieses Haus ist keine Empfehlung für Freunde von Massen- und Pauschaltourismus, die einen Platz in der schönen, heilen und glitzernden perfekten Welt eines 5-Sterne-Hotels mit Massenabfertigung suchen. Aber es ist eine Empfehlung an alle die, die erleben möchten, wie man Gastfreundschaft lebt. Hier kommt der Gast als Fremder und geht als Freund. Alle Mitarbeiter zeigen den Respekt und die Höflichkeit, die ein Gast erwarten darf und setzen hier hohe Maßstäbe an. Der Gast ist König und wird wie ein solcher behandelt. Nicht mit einer Super-Wellness-Anlage, und auch nicht mit einem 5-Sterne-Koch. Aber dafür mit bodenständigen Werten wie sauberen Zimmern, freundlichem und individuellem Service. Auch die Küche ist bodenständig aber empfehlenswert. Und auch hier zeigen alle Mitarbeiter, dass sie ihre Arbeit immer mit dem Gast im Herzen machen. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, und bestimmt nicht mein letzter. Harry und sein Team haben mir das Gefühl gegeben, zu Hause zu sein, ja sogar Teil der Familie zu sein. Ein Dank und meine Empfehlung an die Villa Mansland und ihr tolles Team!
