Velmi zajímavý a starý kostel v centru města Prahy stojí naproti poštovnímu muzeu.

Went for 2017 Christmas morning service as visitors. Everyone made us feel incredibly welcome. Very nice, warm service. Also, as an aside, we were really impressed by the under-pew heating system!

Klimentovi, jehož ostatky do Čech přinesli slovanští misionáři Konstantin a Metoděj. Původní struktura kostela byla románská. V letech 1975-1981 proběhla velká rekonstrukce, při níž byly odhaleny a zdokumentovány právě románské základy kostela. Interesting, but unfortunately, the rather neglected church between Klimentská and Novomlýnská Street in the New Town is one of the oldest sacral buildings in Prague - Probably is the oldest church on the right bank of the Vltava river along with Vyšehrad. This is the reason to see this place, and it´s visit can be combined with a visit to the Novomlýnská Water Tower or post office museum in a side street. The first written mention of it dates back to 1226, but it is believed to have been founded around 1065 or even earlier. St. Kliment, whose remains were brought to Bohemia by the Slavonic missionaries Konstantin and Metoděj. The original structure of the church was Romanesque. In 1975-1981 a uge reconstruction took place, during which namely the Romanesque foundations of the church were discovered and documented.
