We arrived at the apartment to be met by the manager Milos. Milos appeared to be in a rush and couldn’t leave quickly enough. He did not show us where anything was in the apartment or explain why it was so cold. Before he shut the door we managed to convince him to come and show us how the heating worked as it was freezing. Reluctantly Milos came back and briefly showed us how the thermostat worked before leaving stating to contact him 24/7 if there were any issues. An hour later the temperature was dropping outside and the heating still hadn’t started working. Over 10 calls to Milos, an email, 2 whatsapp messages and 2 text messages and no reply to any despite him being told it was freezing cold in the apartment. The temperature inside the apartment was under 10 degrees so we went to bed in 4 layers of clothes and we’re still freezing cold. The following morning Milos contacted us and stated the problem with the heating would be fixed that day. We went out and we’re told the heating had been fixed however when we returned it was still broken, the temperature in the apartment was now well under 10 degrees and we had been there for nearly 48 hours without heating. We contacted Milos who said he would return. What we were so perplexed at was the fact Milos hadn’t took the time to even test the heating before leaving but we bit our lip and allowed him to return. Upon returning to our apartment that evening the heating was lukewarm at best and continually kept turning on and off despite the thermostat being set to 24 degrees the temperature didn’t get above 16 degrees. We noticed that there was now dirty water sprayed across the sofa and all the walls of the apartment, the water marks were black and filthy. Milos contacted us and apologized stating there had been an issue when fixing the heating and he needed to paint the walls whilst we were still in the apartment which we agreed to. At this point we had given up hoping to get any heating above 16 degrees as we were sick of chasing Milos and asking him to rectify the problems which were not rectified. Milos then said the walls would be painted immediately however this was not done for nearly another 48 hours. The stay was a total disaster and Milos knew we were extremely disappointed. As a result he sent text confirmation and over a number of telephone calls he promised a 50% refund on our stay. We reluctantly agreed although we felt we should have been refunded in full due to the terrible conditions of the apartment. Over the last two days of our holiday we contacted Expedia to process this refund and Expedia contacted Milos who said verbally the refund could be authorized but requested an email to be sent from Expedia and he would confirm in writing this was the case. Expedia then sent 8 emails to Milos and called him on numerous occasions only to have him ignore their calls. Milos stopped answering any of our calls or messages and we left the apartment to come home. Whilst back home Expedia contacted me everyday to informed me that Milos was avoiding them and not speaking to them. They were sent screen shots from Milos where he had sent me messages authorizing a refund and eventually Expedia stepped in and issued a 50% refund. Milos is a liar a cheat and the management of the apartment is a disgrace. To expect human beings to stay in such awful conditions (both my partner and I have now got chest infections due to having to stay and sleep in such cold conditions) and not rectify those issues is criminal. To top this and then offer a partial refund to then ignore all messages and correspondence from us and Expedia is a joke. Milos I don’t know how you manage to sleep at night!! I am a seasoned travelled and travelled the world, I am not someone who complains or have ever complained at a hotel. However due to the reasons mentioned I feel so strongly that I’ve written this detailed review. For the above reasons I would urge people to look elsewhere and not use this apartment unless you want to risk being in the same position as we were forced to stay in.
