::You can feel the history at every step. Worth seeing and taking a walk.

::Beautiful small cemetery with very intense atmosphere.
Michael Zámečník
::The final resting place of some of the greatest and most famous Czechs throughout (mostly modern) history, including classical composer Bedrich Smetana, opera singer Ema Destinnova, writers Svatopluk Cech and Franisek Hrubin, or political prisoner and martyr Dr Milada Horakova. A beautiful place to visit and pay one's respects.

::Not just the cemetery but Vysehrad itself is a must-see destination if you are visiting Prague. A very beautiful cemetery, with lovely statuary, walkways, gardens. Tombs of famous Czechs including Dvorak, Smetana, and (see photo) in among all the dignity the cheeky tombstone of the brave cartoonist Kaja Saudek who thumbed his nose at the Nazis, then the Communists; and finally, he seems to be thumbing his nose at death itself.
Vasileios Tsarouchas
::Squeamish people are better off not coming here. Whenever I told people that when I was in Prague I really enjoyed a walk through a graveyard some eyebrows would be raised. The site is beautiful with great sculptures and tombstones.
